This post goes out to all women; we’re in need of some advice. Over the past couple of years I have noticed a reoccurring theme when it comes to women and compliments… THEY NEVER ACCEPT THEM! And I don’t know why.
The other day my my girlfriend was looking amazing. She had on a sexy pair of skinny jeans, some good looking boots and a sweet looking sweater. When she walked into the room my jaw dropped and I was stunned. She looked absolutely gorgeous. As she walked closer to me I told her “Babe, you look amazing today! You’re looking sexy.” And instantly the rejection came out of her mouth. It was “You’re kidding me right!?” and “I don’t look good in these jeans my butt looks funny.” and so forth.
It boggled my mind. Here I am trying to give her a compliment and let her know that I find her attractive and she is shutting me down. I don’t know why either. I give her compliments all of the time but there are times that she stuns me, and I let her know; but more often than not my compliments are rejected and I wish I knew why.
It honestly drives men insane when they compliment a woman and they reject what is being said. Trust me, if we didn’t believe what we were saying… we wouldn’t be saying it. I just wish that women would take a compliment now and then. Show some confidence. There’s nothing sexier in a woman than confidence.
So I have two things to wrap this up: One – next time a guy gives you a compliment… thank him for it. And lastly, why? Why don’t women take compliments very well? I would love to know.
